It is common in the first few months for babies to pass watery stools. This is because their stomach is unable to absorb all the milk they are fed and hence pass most of it as watery stools. In a few months after the system adjusts the consistency of the stools will thicken. The most important thing to check for is dehydration, which can be noted as an irritable baby who cries a lot, with a sunken soft spot. If none of these are present you have nothing to worry about and continue to breastfeed your baby regularly.
Thank u Dr.. One more concern is since two days my baby is coughing while crying.. Otherwise not! Does tht mean she is having cold n cough
If the your baby is coughing after extended periods of crying it means that she is just gasping for air. A cold and cough would be indicated when your baby has a fever or coughs even without crying. Try to soothe your baby when you realise she has been crying for a really long time.
Thank u, this was very useful.
