At this age, it is common for children to be fussy when it comes to eating.
-Give her a huge variety of different kinds of dishes which should include oats, cereals, vegetables, fruits, yoghurt, cheese and milk.Rice is commonly given as it is easy to swallow. You can mix veggies and eggs in the rice and make a separate dish which she may enjoy. Make sure her food is cooked in less oil, with no salt and sugar. You can use honey and mashed fruits are natural sweeteners. Place two - three small portions of different dishes on her favourite plates and bowls.
- You need to set a schedule of when food will be served. Preferably give her 3 meals with 3 small snacks during the day. Do not allow her to play or watch television while eating as this is commonly a distraction.
- Make your daughter eat at the table with the rest of the family. This way she can observe and learn how to feed himself.
- Do not force her to eat as negative reactions yield no results. It is better to explain to her why she needs to eat and if she doesn't eat at one time keep offering it to her throughout the day.
Remember that this is a phase and it will soon pass. She is young and at this age children would rather play than eat. So just be patient and you will see changes.
