Reflux and spitting out of milk after feeds in babies is quite common and nothing to be worried about. It usually stops after baby has completed 1 year of age. Do not worry is baby is healthy and is gaining weight. However, you must consult your doctor is reflux starts after 6 months, lasts beyond 1 year of age, coughing while feeding, excessive vomiting, blood in stools, fever, not gaining weight. You can prevent reflux byaking baby burp in between and after feeds, feeding small amounts but more frequently, holding baby in upright position after feeding for a while.
