At 5 months your baby should weigh between 5.5 - 8 kgs, which indicates your baby is of normal weight. A baby can nurse anywhere from 10 - 40 minutes. The key is to make sure that she is not dehydrated and this can be checked by the number of wet nappies she produces in a day. Anywhere from 5 -7 nappies a day means that your daughter is receiving enough of milk. Some signs to show you that she might be hungry is when she starts crying, sucks her thumb or rolls her head from side to side. There is no need to try any other milk as breastmilk is sufficient for your child.
After feeding you can try to burp her and hold her up for a few minutes, then try feeding her again. You can also try feeding her close to the time she sleeps as baby to feed better during those times. There is no need to worry at this point as she is doing well.
Thank you very much for replying . now I am quite relaxed.
