Your child may want to be fed, or may want to to be comforted. Try to slowly avoid going to your child when they start crying. Just wait for 5 minutes to allow for your child to go back to sleep. If after 5 minutes your child doesn't fall asleep, then you can go and check on your child. Comfort your baby, and opt for a feeding session. Sometimes babies just fall back to sleep and therefore it is best to just wait it out rather than run to your child every time they start crying.
