Most cases of hydronephrosis in babies resolve on their own. The key is continuous observation. If the situation is the same and the kidneys are still functioning optimally then the doctors may opt to wait. If not and the condition is worsening, your pediatrician may recommend surgery. There is no way to treat this on its own with medications. Only antibiotics may be given from time to time to prevent infection.
Doctors has not advised for any anti biotics yet.and baby has proper urine as observed. should i myself ask doctor to give antibiotics
