If your baby seems to be satisfied after the feed and your breasts feel lighter after feeding him then it's a good indication that he is being well fed. If Your baby is urinating properly and is showing no signs of hunger after the feed then it's fine. Babies make sure they don't starve themselves , if your baby is unsatisfied he would cry and show you he is hungry.
If you think your breast milk is insufficient then meet a pediatrician and get formula milk prescribed.
At morning he drinks n sleeps well but at night he feeds most of the time.
Can you share your baby's feeding and sleeping schedule ? How many times he feeds and how much he sleeps ?
At 8:30am ,at 11:00am next at 2:00pm n 4:00pm n 6:00 n 9:00 only for 10 minutes .during night he mostly feeds.he plays for 1 to 2 hours in the evening rest of the time he sleeps.
Okay , he should sleep for atleast 14-16 hours in athe entire one day.
In one day he should feed atleast 10- 12 times. If he is feeding for short intervals , increase the time of Feedings. Depends on your baby's feeding capacity and your milk production.
Your baby is very small so he will feel hungry from time to time. Make sure he feeds nicely during day time.
Baby will ask for feed at night , babies of this age do that. But you can minimize the frequency of feeds at night by increasing the feeding during day.
Before he goes to sleep , feed him to satisfaction. This should help you out.
But I'm the end if he still asks for feed , give it to him. It just a matter of few months. When you start semi solid diet from the 6th month , the night feedings will reduce
Thank you doctor.
