No moisturiser is not at all compulsory.. Even i don't apply on my son..Only If i feel his skin has become dry then only i apply moisturiser or coconut oil, but not everyday..... And yes if the brand doesn't suit your baby it might darken the complexion too...

No it is not true at all. Babies changes their complexion as they grows and it is completely normal and natural. Applying lotion helps to keep skin moisturised and also helps to avoid dryness. Use a good baby lotion. Like i uses mamaerth moisturising body lotion. A natural non sticky product with a pleasant fragrance. It keeps skin soft and healthy.
Moisturizer is using only for dryness and avoid itching. If baby skin dry will get itching. Never effect on baby colour. Especially rainy season and winter season should use moisturizer for avoid skin irritation.
It is completely depends on skin type. If baby has dry skin should use any moisturizer or coconut oil.
Give more water and fruits and give healthy homemade food for good skin and health.
Skin colour will change according to climate changes not with moisturizer. Select good products to avoid rashes.
Thank you all for suggestions. It means a lot.
