I understand that this is a hard time for you and your baby and Its natural for you to be scared and worried. I would encourage you to think positively and have a firm belief that everything is going to be okay very soon as this surgery is going to make your baby healthier. Your doctor and the medical team assisting in the surgery are going to do their best for your son, so please don't worry too much. Spend quality time with you baby, so that both of you can relax and feel better.
Coming to your question of feeding, usually before surgeries everyone is kept nil orally , which means any kind of food or liquid is avoided so that the surgery can happen smoothly.
You should have a word with your doctor about this too, this should remove all your doubts and bring you at ease.
After the surgery successfully done you can feed your baby after some time when the doctor finds it suitable to start the feeding
Stay in touch with your baby's doctor, meet the doctor before the surgery is done, have a discussion about all your doubts. Its going to be ok.
If you have any more doubts please feel free to share.

Yes this is fine. In the first few months, your son's feeding pattern will change a lot. Let him sleep when he wants to and feed when he wants to. A few weeks later he might also want to drink more. So, therefore, it is really unpredictable. A great indicator is usually how active he is.
You need to feed the baby as much they need if you are breastfeeding. You can check out this article for better understanding https://bbgo.co/yFVEQATd9X

Hi offer both breasts equally and feed till your breasts are empty at a feed then offer other breast to ensure proper supply to the baby
Breastfeeding should be done as many times as the baby likes. Give semi solid diet as well and between these diets breastfeed the baby whenever he gets hungry or asks for it. Night feeds will ensure that your milk flow is good, so don't skip night feeds. Breastfeeding is recommended atleast till 1 year of age.
